I was born and raised in New Orleans, La...... Now living here in Fort Worth, Texas since 2006....While I was living in New Orleans I owned and operated a hair salon for 11 years and was in the industry for 25... I loved every minute of it....
I have always loved people but my real passion has always been my love of animals, since I was a child.... The love I have for them is incomparable to anything else.........I have served in many volunteer positions when it comes to animals... Friends of Katrina, Golden Retriever Rescue Club, Humane Society of Northwest Texas, are just a few...I also obtained certification in pet CPR.
I was a professional dog show handler from 97-99...I handled and own "Champion Prana's Chewbacca Beaux"... I wanted to show everyone in the dog show industry that yes, even an individual like me could learn and compete against some top handlers and win with their very own pet and make them a champion... They said it could never be done since I had no prior experience. Guess they were wrong!! I have always had Lhasa's Apso's and German Shepherds, not to mention many mixed breeds growing up as a child....I currently still have "Beaux" who is now 12 years of age and going strong. Our new addition, Lexee who was aquired from the Dallas /Fort Worth Sheltie Rescue Org, as well as our 2 cats, Danny and Dixie, who were rescues.....There is a lot of room in my heart for more and I am sure I will be filling that other position since the passing of my 14 year old German Shepherd.
I keep up to date with wellness & animal behaviors through daily research... I am very honest and dependable. I would NEVER treat your animal any other way then if it were my own... I adore animals and feel completely responsible for them when you are away, I do not take my job lightly at all....The person you meet for the pet sitting job is the person that will be caring for and entering your home....You need to feel secure knowing your animals are being well cared for while your away... Long or short term, I understand completely the feeling of insecurity when they have to be left behind. I've been there...That's exactly how I got here! Leave your worries behind! You've just discovered a one of a kind pet sitter!
